About Ledigt
Ledigt is a free planner that shows which leave days turn public holidays and weekends into long breaks. How it is built, what data it uses and who it is for.
Denne side er skrevet på engelsk.
What Ledigt does
Ledigt finds the leave days that join public holidays and weekends into longer breaks. You choose a country, a year and how many leave days you want to spend. The planner returns the best combined plan, a ranked list of single breaks, a twelve-month calendar and an .ics export.
The name is Swedish for "free" in the sense of time off. The site is available in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and German.
Where the dates come from
Holiday dates are not typed in or calculated by us. They are downloaded from Nager.Date, an open holiday API, and stored as dated snapshots. Every calendar page shows when its snapshot was fetched. The method page explains which days count as free and how breaks are found.
How it is paid for
Ledigt is free, has no accounts and no paid version. It is funded by a small number of clearly labelled ads that load only after you accept cookies. Ads never appear above the planner on a phone and never change the results.
Corrections
If a date looks wrong, check the source linked on the calendar page first. Holiday data errors should be reported to Nager.Date. Problems with the planner itself, or anything else, can be sent to jonathan.holmlidh@gmail.com.
